Georg serves as Head of Family Capital Europe at Hg, a leading European private equity firm specializing in software and technology investments. With approximately $100+ billion in assets under management and over 25 years of investment experience across Europe and North America, Hg has earned recognition as the best performing European Private Equity manager (HEC/Dow Jones Large Buyout Ranking, 2024), the world's most active IT investor (Pitchbook, 2024), and ranks among the 10 largest private equity firms globally (PEI300, 2024). In his role at Hg Wealth, Georg leads direct relationships with Family Offices and Foundations while developing Hg's specialized product offerings for this sophisticated investor segment. Hg Wealth provides clients access to Hg's complete investment platform through a single, open-ended evergreen vehicle, complementing the firm's traditional closed-end funds. Hg Wealth has grown to serve 400+ direct clients, generating sustained quarterly commitment flows averaging €150+ million and achieving well over €1.5 billion in net asset value. Through this unique direct relationship model, complemented by a series of segment-specific events for Hg Wealth investors, Hg is positioned as a growing thought leader in the broader international Family Office/Foundation segment. Beyond his responsibilities at Hg, Georg leads a Single Family Office in Munich and serves as a board member and senior advisor in the broader private capital context. His background includes more than a decade in private equity investing (incl. Hg) and consulting at McKinsey & Company. Georg holds an MBA from Harvard University and resides in Munich with his wife and three sons.
