Sophia Martin

Sophia Martin is Managing Director at 1st Kind, the Peugeot Family’s venture activity. She leads investments in DeepTech and Industry, backing ambitious founders building the critical technologies and industrial capabilities that will shape Europe’s future. With over 15 years of experience across Venture Capital and Tech, and more than 30 investments, Sophia has built a strong track record identifying and supporting high-potential founders from early stage to scale. Before joining the Peugeot Family, she was Partner and co-Head at RAISE Ventures, where she launched and led the Seed fund and helped initiate the Impact activity. She previously held investment roles at 360 Capital Partners, CM-CIC Capital Privé and Ardian, and gained operational experience at Amazon. Sophia is a committed advocate for European sovereignty and reindustrialisation, with a focus on strengthening Europe’s competitiveness through technology, industry and long-term capital.
