William Benjamin
Head of Alternative Solutions, HSBC Global Asset Management
William Benjamin is Head of Alternatives Solutions, responsible for HSBC’s alternative investment strategies deployed via third party managers, across liquid alternatives, hedge funds, infrastructure, real estate, private debt and private equity. He chairs the Alternative Investment Committee. William holds an honours degree in Economics from University College London and the CFA designation. Prior to this role at HSBC, William was with Goldman Sachs Asset Management in the Alternative Investments and Manager Selection group, where he developed, advised and managed alternative and traditional investment strategies. William re-joined HSBC in May of 2016, having initially joined HSBC in 2001, he was appointed Head of European Research in 2007 and Global Head of Hedge Fund Research in 2012.
